WHAT IS A HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT - HSA?

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a valuable tool for individuals with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). To be eligible, the HDHP generally needs to have a deductible of at least $1,600 for an individual or $3,200 for a family. When exploring health plans in the Marketplace, you can identify if they are "HSA-eligible."

For the year 2024, the contribution limits are up to $4,150 for self-only HDHP coverage and up to $8,300 for family HDHP coverage. Contributions made to an HSA can roll over from year to year, and the account may earn interest, which is not taxable.

If you have an HSA, you can use your HSA Card at Bodycentre Fitness for eligible services. We will provide you with detailed receipts, including CPT Codes for your records. It's important to note that HSA funds cannot be used for gratuities, only for qualified healthcare services.

If your health insurance company offers HSAs or if you can open an HSA through a bank or financial institution, you may take advantage of this account to cover healthcare expenses while enjoying potential tax benefits.
